Résumé : At the grotto of Lourdes, when the Immaculate Virgin appeared to Bernadette Soubirous
in 1858, few words were actually spoken. From her eighteen meetings with the Mother
of God, Bernadette passed on to the Roman Catholic Church just ten words; those she
had received from the “Lady” who was so beautiful, so sweet, and so kind to her. This
book offers a meditation on each of these words, both on a human and spiritual level,
in the light of the Bible and the Teachings of the Church. Word by word, the author
helps to us discover the extraordinary pedagogy of Our Lady of Lourdes, who assumed
responsibility for teaching this child of fourteen: poor, illiterate and with no religious
knowledge, but with a heart filled with love for God and others. Régis-Marie de La
Teyssonnière is a priest of the diocese of Tarbes and Lourdes, in France and “chapelain”
of the sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. He is the author of a dozen or so books in
French on St. Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes. After The Spirituality Of Bernadette,
published in 2019, Lourdes, The spoken Words of Mary is his second book to be published
