through a threefold timeline following all Austrian National Parks: The past (the
creation of the protected areas), the present (what is the actual work that is happening
in the areas, the successes and failures), the future (how does climate change affect
the areas, what are the scientific outlooks, what are the strategies to cope with
the changing conditions). In this framework the Austrian National Parks are presented
by eye-catching wildlife stories and breathtaking aerials mixed with interviews of
leading scientists and National Park affiliates to give a good impression of Austria's
natural heritage and uncover the mostly unseen work that is done to protect these
areas A very important part in making this documentary was to give a bigger picture
than the pleasant beauty of nature and spotlight the interdependencies and problems
