Culture Manteño
Vedette matière nom commun. S'emploie en tête de vedette.
Culture précolombienne de la "période d'intégration" entre 800 et 1500 après J.C.
(ou 1150-410 B. P.) identifiée sur la côte pacifique de l'Équateur, au Sud de la Province
de Manabí autour de Manta. Elle suit la culture de Bahia et prit fin au contact des
Européens, notamment en raison des maladies occidentales. Les Manteños résistèrent
aux Incas et formaient un peuple de marchands spécialisés dans le commerce de métaux
précieux et de coquillages.
