Lors des votes du mardi 23 juin et du samedi 27 juin 2020, le Conseil de l' "American
library association" a voté pour approuver "Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures"
en tant que nouvelle division de l'ALA à compter du 1er septembre 2020 et pour dissoudre
l' "Association for Library Collections and Technical Services" (ALCTS), la "Library
and Information Technology Association" (LITA) et la "Library Leadership and Management
Association" (LLAMA) à compter du 31 août 2020 ; Core a été officiellement approuvé
par les membres de l'ALCTS, de la LITA et de la LLAMA en avril 2020.
