Japonais émigré aux Etats-Unis, dit de la première génération (issei), après avoir
effectué ses études en sociologie à l'Université impériale de Tōkyō. - Né au Japon.
- Membre puis prêtre de la secte shintō Konkōkyō (à partir de 1927). - Emigre à San
Fransico, Californie avec sa femme afin d'y propager la doctrine Konkō (octobre 1930).
- Interné le 17 octobre 1941 dans les camps de concentration américains pour les ressortissants
Japonais : camp de Missoula, Montana et camp de San Antonio, Texas (durant six années).
