Quartier historique de Philadelphie (en allemand de Pennsylvanie : Deitscheschteddel),
situé de part et d'autre de Germantown Avenue, au nord-ouest du centre-ville. Cette
"petite Allemagne" est fondée en 1683, lorsque William Penn attribue un terrain de
10km² à un groupe d'Allemands, principalement des mennonites de Rhénanie. Aujourd'hui,
le quartier est très bien préservé, intact, déclaré site historique, avec un riche
patrimoine architectural des 18e et 19e siècles.
