Landau in der Pfalz (Allemagne)

Ville et arrondissement (Kreisfreie Stadt) de Rhénanie-Palatinat, au nord de la France
(Bas-Rhin), sur la "Route allemande des vins". Fondée au 13e siècle, française en
1648, elle est fortifiée par Vauban (1688-1691 - enceinte relativement toujours présente),
mais elle est prise par les Impériaux en 1702 et 1704. A nouveau française en 1714
(département du Bas-Rhin sous la Révolution), elle est cédée à l'Autriche en 1815.
La forme courte est homonymique de la forme courte de Landau an der Isar (Bavière).
