The interest of a pair of artists, Michael Meier 惑ristoph Franz (born in 1980 and 1982 respectively), is in models of particular locations. They engage in an archaeology of the present, investigating that moment in our perception in which past, present and future interlock and when all clear notions of linear history disintegrate. In their major solo show at Kunstmuseum Olten they modify, expand and shift perspectives. By blurring the boundaries between reality, fiction and dreams, by playing with the familiar and the alien and with the help of quotations, innuendos and references they transform the museum into the site of a dazzling thought experiment, one that subverts our established perceptional patterns. 0Exhibition: Kunstmuseum Olten, Switzerland (17.02.-05.05.2013). 0
