Alnwick (GB) -- Garden
Vedette matière nom géographique. S'emploie en tête de vedette ou en subdivision.
Grand jardin en bordure nord d'Alnwick (Angleterre, Northumberland), comprenant notamment
un jardin d'ornementation, une plantation de cerisiers, une roseraie, une grande cascade,
ainsi qu'un jardin clos... de plantes vénéneuses ('poison garden'). Créé au 18e siècle,
à l'origine inclus dans les limites domaniales du château, il s'en trouve aujourd'hui
séparé par une partie urbaine d'Alnwick, à env. 300 mètres à l'est du château. Tombé
en désuétude, il fut rénové par la duchesse de Northumberland au début du 21e siècle.
