Ancienne cité du Galaad (Âge du fer), dont les vestiges (enceinte fortifiée, habitations)
se trouvent à quelques kilomètres au sud de la ville actuelle de Ramtha, dans le nord
de la Jordanie non loin de la frontière syrienne. Son premier archéologue, Paul W.
Lapp (années 1960), les a identifiés avec la ville biblique de Ramot de Galaad ; cependant,
cette identification, selon les sources, ne paraît pas certifiée à 100 % (2 sites
proposés : celui-ci et Ramtha (étymologie)).
