Église gothique bâtie à partir de 1408, endommagée par des incendies en 1421, 1452
et 1645, et restée inachevée. - Dédiée à sainte Catherine, puis au culte protestant.
- Église des couronnements et mariages royaux, depuis 1980, le culte n'y est plus
célébré. L'église est sous la responsabilité d'une fondation nationale (Nationale
stichting de Nieuwe kerk) qui y organise des événements culturels.
