300 1. $a Fondée en 1923, le gouvernement de la Palestine a enregistré Ḥevrat ha-ovedim en
1924. Société coopérative, elle fut le bras économique et industriel de la Histadrout.
Ḥevrat ha-ovedim a connu une profonde crise vers la fin des années 1980 du 20ème
siècle et a cédé l'essentiel de ses actifs dans les années 1990. Simultanement, elle
a été séparée organiquement de la Histadrout, cette dernière préférant recentrer ses
activités autour de l'action syndicale
