Université japonaise privée et catholique. - Originellement dénommée "Jōchi Gakuen".
- Fondée par l'allemand Hermann Hoffman en 1911, elle a le statut officiel d'université
depuis 1928. - Elle comporte une section internationale pour les étudiants étrangers,
ainsi que des Facultés de lettres, économie, droit, théologie, langues étrangères,
science et ingénierie. - En 1989, ses effectifs étaient de 10.322 étudiants. - Communément
appelée "Jōchi Daigaku" en japonais.
